Lebanese Vermicelli Rice

Serves: 4-6 portions
- ½ cup short filini pasta or broken vermicelli pasta
- 1 cup long grain rice, rinsed and drained
- 1 tbsp. butter
- ½ tsp. kosher salt
- 2 cups water
- In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium-high heat.
- Add vermicelli and cook stirring often until golden brown.
- Add rice, water and salt and stir well.
- Cover and bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to low and cook for about 15 minutes or until water is all absorbed.
- Stir with a fork and serve.
