Lebanese Vermicelli Rice

Serves: 4-6 portions
Ingredients
  • ½ cup short filini pasta or broken vermicelli pasta
  • 1 cup long grain rice, rinsed and drained
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • ½ tsp. kosher salt
  • 2 cups water
Instructions
  1. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium-high heat.
  2. Add vermicelli and cook stirring often until golden brown.
  3. Add rice, water and salt and stir well.
  4. Cover and bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to low and cook for about 15 minutes or until water is all absorbed.
  5. Stir with a fork and serve.
